Job summary

WITTENSTEIN North America in Bartlett, IL is seeking a Buyer/Planner to schedule and procure material to ensure on-time operation of the assigned BU. You will generate POs, monitor deliveries, and collaborate with Logistics, Manufacturing, and Customer Service.

The role requires an associate degree in International Trade or related field (or equivalent), ERP experience (SAP or BaaN), and 2–5 years in a global manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience in International Trade or Supply Chain.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP or BaaN) is required.
• 2-5 years of experience with a global manufacturing company as a buyer or planner.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to read blueprints and understand production/scheduling needs.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident was required.

Responsibilities

• Generate purchase orders based on MRP/MRP1 demand, Kanban and requisitions daily.
• Ensure on-time delivery of suppliers and communicate status to internal customers.
• Monitor subcontracting list to generate POs in support of BU(s).
• Assist in evaluating supplier performance and quality resolution.
• Assist in developing/updating purchasing procedures and work instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
