Job summary

Dover Food Retail (DFR) in Conyers, GA, seeks a Buyer to manage purchasing and planning tasks supporting production schedules. You will issue POs, expedite deliveries, and collaborate with engineering to source alternate materials when needed.

You’ll analyze demand, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain inventory targets while supporting cost reduction and supplier reliability goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of relevant experience.
• ERP experience preferred; Oracle/Visual familiarity beneficial.
• CPIM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders daily based on demand signals.
• Expedite deliveries to keep production on schedule.
• Collaborate with engineering to identify alternate materials.
• Maintain supplier relations and negotiate contracts.
• Provide demand forecasts and analyze usage trends.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and safety stock.
