Job summary

ITW Food Equipment Group is seeking a detail‑oriented Buyer to source, negotiate, and purchase goods to support production needs. You will work with internal teams and suppliers to maintain optimal inventory, cost control, supplier performance, and procurement efficiency.

The role requires coordinating Kanban agreements, monitoring stock levels, placing POs, and mitigating stockout risks. You will collaborate with Accounting, Engineering, Assembly, Warehouse, and Customer Service to ensure

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum 4 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or customer service environments preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills; ERP experience (Epicor) valued.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain Kanban agreements and purchasing records.
Monitor stock levels, analyze needs, and place purchase orders; coordinate with AP and Receiving.
Identify stockout risks and propose mitigation strategies to minimize disruption and cost.
Track inbound shipments and ensure inventory availability to meet demand and production needs.
Communicate with suppliers; evaluate performance on KPIs and drive cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with Accounting, Engineering, Assembly, Warehouse and Customer Service to support integrated supply chain operations.
