Job summary

OPW Clean Energy Solutions, a Dover Corp unit, seeks a Buyer to support daily production across manufacturing locations and collaborate with the Planning community to execute the business plan and deliver world-class service.

You will assist in implementing sourcing projects, managing purchase orders, expediting materials, and sustaining supplier relationships to drive cost reductions and process improvements. This onsite role requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years procurement experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Associate degree in business or supply chain preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience in project management, sourcing, supplier relationship, and vendor communication.
• Strong attention to detail and written/verbal communication skills.
• Hands-on work ethic with results focus; punctual and reliable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP; Infor XA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute sourcing/procurement strategies and create/reconcile purchase orders for inventory and non-inventory items.
• Assist Sr. Buyer/Planner to implement sourcing projects and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Track cost factors with suppliers to mitigate risk and support profitability.
• Coordinate quotes for Sr. Buyer Planner and expedite materials from vendors as needed.
• Develop supplier relationships and propose alternative sourcing options.
• Collaborate with Engineering on material changes and new product introductions.
• Coordinate deliveries for open POs and manage import shipments.
• Communicate product delivery status with stakeholders and schedule third-party vendors.
• Handle receivers for accounting/purchasing and project-based tasks.
