IEWC seeks a forward-thinking strategic Buyer to elevate procurement beyond transactional purchasing. You will drive data-driven decisions, manage supplier relationships, and create value across the supply base.

This role combines tactical purchasing with development of supplier partnerships to shape sourcing strategies and optimize cost structures. You will lead cost-reduction initiatives, negotiate favorable terms, and optimize material planning using MRP systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, business or related field.
  • 2–4 years of supply chain experience required.
  • Certifications like CPIM or CPSM preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of MRP principles and ERP navigation (SAP a plus).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience in electrical products manufacturing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Source and procure materials, components, and services for production.
  • Maintain records of purchases and monitor supplier performance.
  • Utilize MRP systems to plan material needs and track inventory.
  • Analyze demand patterns and adjust procurement plans.

  • Monitor inventory levels, minimize excess stock, and prevent stockouts.
  • Implement inventory control strategies to optimize working capital.

Job description

IEWC is seeking a forward-thinking strategic Buyer to elevate our procurement function beyond transactional purchasing. This role is designed for a proactive professional who thrives on data-driven decision-making, supplier relationship management, and value creation. This role will be responsible for both tactical procurement and development of their assigned supply base. You’ll play a key role in shaping sourcing strategies, optimizing cost structures, and driving innovation across our supply base.

Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing:
    • Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.

    • Maintain accurate records of purchases and monitor supplier performance.
  • Material Planning Optimization:
    • Utilize MRP systems to plan material needs, track inventory levels, and prevent shortages.

  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor inventory levels, minimize excess stock, and prevent stockouts.

  • Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring reliable and consistent deliveries.
    • Evaluate supplier performance, address issues, and drive continuous improvement.
    • Collaborate with suppliers on cost reduction initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of Supply Chain experience required.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management, APICS CPIM) preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of MRP principles, and ability to navigate ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience in an electrical products manufacturing environment is advantageous.
