Job summary

CPI Electron Device Business is seeking a Buyer to manage quotes, negotiate pricing, and purchase inventory for our defense, industrial, and scientific markets. You will collaborate with Planning and Finance to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.

The role requires strong ERP/MRP knowledge, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to work independently while ensuring compliance with DFAR/FAR government contracting rules. A degree and APICS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with ERP/MRP environments and government contracting requirements.
• Strong Excel and Office Suite capabilities.
• Knowledge of item attributes and MRP impacts.
• Ability to propose solutions and communicate with all organization levels.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison between CPI EDB and suppliers.
• Create and maintain purchase orders; issue quotes to suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier quotes and awards; manage excess/obsolete disposition.
• Assist Accounts Payables with invoice discrepancies; escalate issues as needed.
