Job summary

CIRCOR International, Inc. is seeking a Sr Buyer/Planner to procure technically engineered components for new product development and manufacturing lines.

You will manage RFQs, negotiate terms, place purchase orders, and drive KPI performance while maintaining ERP data accuracy. The role requires strong negotiation, data extraction from ERP, and ability to balance make/buy decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field
• 5–10 years’ experience purchasing for manufacturing/lean environment
• Experience with MRP in manufacturing; IFS preferred
• Procurement/procurement certification a plus
• Strong negotiation, price analysis and make/buy analysis skills
• Ability to extract data from ERP and present insights to management
• Knowledge of inventory management and lean concepts
• Experience with metals, motors, pumps, rotors is a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a matrixed org

Responsibilities

• Analyze demand, forecasts and historical usage to develop make-to-order, stock-to-order and build-to-forecast plans
• Manage MRP parameters to ensure supply and inventory readiness
• Create and review purchase orders; resolve late/partial shipments
• Expedite material and resolve shipment/invoice discrepancies
• Attend meetings to provide updates and take action on critical items
• Maintain supplier/item master data accuracy; ensure lead times and pricing are correct
• Prepare RFQs and analyze price, lead time, terms, and specs
• Collaborate with Global Supply Chain Team to identify new suppliers and cost savings
• Monitor contract performance and supplier compliance with Kanban/JIT programs
• Drive continuous improvement through KPI reviews and cost-saving initiatives
