Job summary

JAG Mobile Solutions is seeking a hands-on Buyer to support purchasing, inventory planning, vendor communication, and supply chain coordination. You will report to the Corporate Supply Chain Director and help keep materials, parts, and production schedules moving efficiently.

You will plan and execute procurement from approved manufacturers, maintain vendor relationships, and monitor open purchase orders to ensure on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years Purchasing or Supply Chain Management experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts and application.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong planning and organizational skills.
• Solid interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Sage/ERP/MRP experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement of finished goods and raw materials from approved manufacturers and suppliers.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and inter-company personnel to confirm production/shipping schedules and monitor open purchase orders.
• Proactively report product and material availability issues and freight claims.
• Assist existing customers with parts requirements.
• Inventory management: reporting inventory, cycle counts, and adjustments.
• Maintain status of purchase orders and shipment tracking; follow-up on back orders and price updates.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers on shipping documents and inter-company coordination.
• Participate in monthly purchasing guidelines and inventory targets.
• Coordinate inventory planning and replenishment with production schedules and delivery dates.
• Participate in physical inventory and complete special projects as requested.
