Job summary

ProMach is seeking a Buyer to source, purchase, and manage inventory for manufacturing operations. You will evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing and contracts, issue purchase orders, and monitor delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective procurement.

The role requires coordination with multiple departments, ERP/Syteline familiarity, and a focus on on-time delivery and accuracy of records. Benefits include comprehensive medical, life insurance, and competitive PTO.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience purchasing components utilizing MRP/ERP.
• Understanding of purchasing principles including the ability to research, analyze and negotiate.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and manage a dynamic workload.
• Excellent communication, written, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchase commercial and non-commercial parts and other operating supplies in a timely manner to support manufacturing.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, inventory, and engineering departments.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and process supplier returns/rejections.
• Attend production meetings and resolve outstanding issues.
• Maintain item master records and costing methods within the ERP system.
• Manage supplier relationships to achieve and track discounts and optimize volume leverage.
