Job summary

D&L Parts Company in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Strategic Buyer who thrives on data-driven decisions, supplier negotiations, and optimizing inventory performance.

You will develop purchasing strategies for HVAC, appliance, and related products, while building strong supplier relationships and partnering with Sales, IT, Distribution and Accounting to tackle purchasing challenges.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP).
• ERP experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop purchasing strategies for assigned product categories.
• Purchase HVAC, appliance, and related products.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, buying programs, and vendor agreements.
• Analyze inventory levels, sales trends, and demand forecasts.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve inventory turns.
• Create reports and dashboards that support purchasing decisions.
• Maintain ERP purchasing data, pricing, and product information.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Distribution, IT, and Accounting to solve purchasing challenges.
• Support strategic supply chain initiatives across the company.
