Job summary

TalentBridge in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an experienced procurement/planning professional to source, negotiate, buy and manage a wide range of purchase requisitions in support of manufacturing and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes demand planning, MRP, vendor management and cost control, with collaboration across engineering, quality and operations to ensure on-time, compliant supply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or similar technical discipline.
• 5 years of technical procurement or planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the demand plan for the product scope.
• Create and manage bill of materials in MRP systems for product scope.
• Manage inventory, review line of balances, align demand supply signals and allocations, maintain product master data; develop expertise in material planning systems and reports.
• Execute MRP Planning messages for production parts.
• Mitigate risk and ensure continuity of supply by constructing and executing a supply plan that fulfills needs on time and with quality.
• Issue purchase orders for programs and manage all relevant master data in MRP for accurate information.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Quality to determine causes of rejected material and drive changes to reduce issues.
• Partner with stakeholders on long-term purchases and design for manufacturing to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Proactively manage inventory to prevent stockouts while optimizing working capital.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with vendors to ensure real-time delivery information.
• Monitor and manage costs to adhere to budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Proactively update management and engineering teams on critical supply issues.
• Analyze supply chain data and report metrics.
