Job summary

Williams Distributing Co. and Shoemaker Inc., part of Daikin Comfort Technologies North America, Inc., is seeking a Buyer to manage purchasing across multiple locations.

You will acquire materials, review supplier proposals, and negotiate terms to achieve cost efficiency while maintaining quality and on-time delivery. Collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Quality to optimize inventory and meet business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Experience with high-volume purchasing in manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Acquire materials, supplies, services and place purchase orders with standard costs and discounts.
• Review supplier proposals to negotiate contracts and maintain records on cost, delivery and inventory.
• Lead supplier development and manage 100+ part numbers across multiple locations.
• Negotiate prices, terms and transportation with vendors; monitor supplier performance.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Quality and Materials to meet customer needs.
• Develop and implement cost reduction strategies and sourcing plans.
• Ensure adherence to budgets and ethical purchasing practices.
