Job summary

Molex, located in Addison, Texas, seeks a detail-oriented Buyer to manage procurement of raw materials, tools and equipment. You will source materials, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure timely, cost-effective acquisitions to support production and business needs.

You will join a collaborative supply chain and operations team supporting engineering and manufacturing functions in aerospace and defense production, with emphasis on cost savings and vendor performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
• 1–5 years in procurement or supply chain in manufacturing/technical environment.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret contracts and technical specifications.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems for procurement.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for goods and services including raw materials, tools, and equipment.
• Evaluate supplier quotes and performance to identify best sources.
• Negotiate contracts and purchase orders per policy and budget.
• Maintain records of procurement transactions and cost-saving initiatives.
• Resolve delivery delays, billing issues, and defective materials with teams and vendors.
• Support vendor management and performance tracking.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
