Job summary

Molex Aerospace & Defense Solutions is seeking a Regional Category Manager to serve as the primary commercial and strategic contact for assigned suppliers and categories, ensuring continuity of supply for mission-critical aerospace and defense products.

You will partner with Procurement, Engineering, Quality, Operations, Program Management, and Supply Chain to align sourcing strategies, drive supplier performance, and deliver value through collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in procurement or category management.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and performance programs.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and global supplier management.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned categories.
• Develop and execute supplier relationship strategies to improve quality, delivery and total cost.
• Lead supplier reviews with scorecards and KPIs for continuous improvement.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics such as delivery, lead time, and risk.
• Identify and mitigate supplier risks including capacity, financial stability, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations on supplier qualification and onboarding.
• Drive supplier development and cost optimization initiatives.
• Support new product development by engaging suppliers early.
