Molex Aerospace & Defense Solutions (ADS) is seeking an NPD Sourcing Engineer to drive supplier engagement and sourcing leadership across product development lifecycles. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and procurement to balance cost, quality, and delivery while supporting design-for-cost initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related).
• 3+ years in direct materials sourcing, procurement, or NPD/NPI.
• Experience with technical suppliers for mechanical/electrical components.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and project management skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications; knowledge of cost analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities for new product development from concept to launch.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for components, assemblies, materials, tooling, and services.
• Collaborate with engineering to optimize supplier selection, manufacturability, and cost.
• Engage suppliers early in design to leverage expertise and cost initiatives.
• Serve as primary sourcing representative on cross-functional project teams.
• Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, capacity, lead times, and terms.
• Develop supplier strategies balancing quality, cost, delivery, and risk.
• Support supplier qualification, onboarding, and risk assessment.
• Drive value engineering and cost-reduction projects with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor milestones to ensure successful product launches and supply continuity.
