Job summary

Astralab is seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to join the Growth team in Hawthorne, CA. You will partner with sales, engineering, program managers, and finance to grow Astrolab’s contract portfolio across commercial, civil, and defense markets.

You will manage proposal development, guide content creation, and present bid information to executives while planning for future opportunities and supporting cross-functional teams as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years of proposal or grant work in private or public sectors.
• Experience communicating technical information to cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Experience in a startup environment is preferred.
• Proficiency with Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Manage and plan proposal development from pre-solicitation to contract award.
• Write executive summaries and guide content generation across departments.
• Create and present bid and proposal information for executives and stakeholders.
• Anticipate future business development efforts and plan accordingly.
• Support planning for sister organizations (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Program Management).
