Job summary

WHEDA is seeking a Manager - Business Applications to lead the IT department's core applications at our Madison facility. You will own the strategic systems landscape, guide software strategy, and oversee lifecycle activities plus homegrown app development.

The role emphasizes collaboration across business units to deliver enhancements and reliable production support. Essential duties include mentoring staff, promoting process improvements, and coordinating with Finance and IT for procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; 5 years of progressively responsible experience; at least 2 years of supervisory experience; equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Owns the strategic systems landscape of internal and external applications and their integrations.
• Identifies application needs and implements solutions through full lifecycle activities.
• Supervises hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective action.
• Drives continuous improvement and creates roadmaps for high impact systems; manages software development methodologies and standards.
• Collaborates with all business units to meet system enhancements, production support, testing, and reporting needs.
