Job summary

The City of Hollywood, Florida is seeking a budget/financial professional to support planning and directing budget development, control, and related projects. You will assist in forecasting, policy guidance, and financial analysis to help achieve department goals.

Responsibilities include preparing budget documents, collaborating with management, and maintaining budgets with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. A strong background in governmental budgeting is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or public administration is required.
• Three years government budgeting and/or accounting experience is required.
• MBA or MPA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and directing budget development and control.
• Coordinate preparation of budget narratives, cost information and reports.
• Forecast revenues and expenditures; assist in cost analysis of operations.
• Develop and maintain budgetary databases and monitor fee structures.
