Job summary

City of Hollywood, Florida is seeking a Finance Analyst to perform detailed cost and financial analysis across budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management. The role involves interpreting accounting data, making recommendations for efficient resource use, and solving complex problems in a government setting.

You will work under the Director or designee and assist with forecasting, cost accounting, and internal controls while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/business admin and 2 years of relevant experience.
• MBA/MPA may substitute for one year of experience.
• Knowledge of governmental budgeting and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform rate development, cost center analysis, and recovery rate calculations.
• Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; ensure accurate recording of financial information.
• Utilize Oracle Cloud ERP to manage financial data, generate reports, monitor budgets, and support daily operations.
• Coordinate payroll data and ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation of payroll expenditures.
• Monitor overtime, staffing, and personnel deployment for cost control and efficiency.
• Oversee billing/revenue processes with vendors to ensure timely submission and reimbursement.
