Job summary

NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) seeks a Senior Advisor in the Fiscal and Business Management (FBM) Line of Service. The role centers on strategic financial management of a multi‑billion-dollar expense and capital budget, delivering in-depth data analysis, policy insight, and operational capacity for budget planning and execution.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 2+ years in budget management or related area.
• 18 months of executive/managerial/supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the annual budget process with detailed analysis and forecasting for agency expenditures.
• Coordinate with Lines of Service to project expenses and assess areas for efficiency.
• Review budget expenditures and revenue to maximize opportunities for revenue generation.
• Develop analyses to support budget requests and Office of Management and Budget coordination.
• Provide advisory capacity to Deputy Commissioner of Finance and senior management on budget issues.
