The position focuses on complex budgetary functions, performance analysis, and actionable recommendations that influence operating and capital budgets with political, legal, and fiscal implications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Two years of progressively responsible administrative and budgeting experience.
• An equivalent combination of education, experience and training may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operating and capital budgets by identifying issues and analyzing information; prepare reports and recommendations.
• Conduct studies requiring coordination among departments and stakeholders.
• Meet with officials to discuss proposals, alternatives, and resolutions.
• Analyze operations and staffing to improve service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Review fund reallocations and ensure compliance with rules and laws; seek cost-effective solutions.
• Review computer reports, manipulate data, and create databases and spreadsheets for budgets and analyses.
