Bexar County PA is seeking an Analyst - Budget to monitor, audit and optimize assigned department budgets across County operations. The role analyzes budget requests, develops performance metrics and provides guidance to executives on budget and management policies.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and have experience in budget preparation, with strong skills in written and verbal communication and in Windows-based word processing and spreadsheet tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
• One year of budget preparation or management analysis experience.
• Knowledge of budget analysis, management research techniques and performance measurements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Windows-based word processing and spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

• Develops, monitors and audits assigned department/division budgets and performance measures.
• Analyzes department/division budget requests and recommends approval/disapproval of line items.
• Advises Elected/Appointed Officials and Department/Division Heads on budget and management policies and procedures.
