Job summary

Loudoun County seeks an experienced Budget and Administration Manager to support the financial, administrative, and strategic operations of the public safety organization. This role oversees the operating budget, EMS cost recovery, grants, procurement and major departmental projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Finance, Public Administration or related field with 4 years in government budgeting or financial management. CPA/CPFO preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in finance, business administration, public administration or a related field.
• Four years of government budgeting, financial management or planning experience.
• Experience in public safety or large multi-fund organizations preferred.
• CPA and/or CPFO preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop departmental budgets and monitor spending.
• Prepare Board of Supervisors items and related documentation.
• Conduct detailed fiscal analyses for decisions.
• Advise senior leadership on long-range planning, priorities, and resource allocations.
• Offer training on budgeting processes and develop best practices.
