Job summary

TJFACT LLC—Totally Joined for Achieving Collaborative Techniques—is seeking a Border Security Advisor (BSA) to support the Department of State – INL at the U.S. Embassy in Quito, Ecuador. The role requires strategic-level leadership and collaboration with Ecuadorian agencies to strengthen border control, reduce illicit trafficking, and manage complex programs.

Onsite, full-time. Eligible candidates will bring extensive U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen required; bachelor’s degree in international relations, law enforcement, public policy or related field.
• Experience managing complex, multi-agency programs at operational or strategic level.
• Experience briefing senior-level leadership on programmatic matters.
• 18+ years of U.S. law enforcement or military experience; English briefing required.
• 3 years overseas in an Embassy environment; border security specialization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage with GOE officials at senior levels to advance border security policies.
• Provide strategic program oversight and cross-agency coordination aligned to INL goals.
• Implement U.S.-sponsored border security activities and interagency relations.
• Offer senior-level expertise in program planning, design, and implementation.
• Lead large projects with independent judgment and risk-managed execution.
• Support senior leadership with program strategies and procurement documentation.
