Job summary

Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking a data analyst to support leadership with quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting, building dashboards and reports using BI tools, and analyzing business problems with data from internal and external sources.

The role will lead the Annual Financial Plan (AFP) process, including budget development, forecasting, and leadership reporting, while developing insights that connect operational performance to financial outcomes and strategic

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Basic understanding of business and operating environment.
• Proficient with business intelligence applications and cloud services.
• Knowledge of ERP/CRM/database software vendor reporting capabilities.
• Experience with data integration, cleaning and validation.
• Experience applying statistical methods, forecasting and cost-benefit analysis.
• Understanding of financial reporting concepts including budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Experience supporting budgeting or annual planning processes.
• Working knowledge of data structures and data visualization tools.
• Strong research and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard procedures to create or update moderately complex reports and dashboards.
• Identify and analyze trends or patterns and prepare ongoing reports to support decisions.
• Contribute to KPI reports, cost analysis, and root-cause exploration.
• Lead AFP process including budget development, forecasting, monitoring and leadership reporting.
• Analyze product, operational and vendor expenses to identify cost drivers and insights.
• Communicate findings to peers and management.
• Create specifications for reports based on business needs.
• Collaborate with team members on projects and initiatives.
