Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Health Benefits Operations professional to elevate the employee experience by optimizing health programs. You will leverage vendor relationships and data analytics to resolve escalations, ensure regulatory compliance, and design innovative wellness solutions for a large workforce.

The role involves overseeing daily vendor operations, reviewing SPDs/SBCs, and supporting annual renewal processes. A hybrid role with US-based office presence is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with four or more years of work experience.
• Experience in corporate employee benefits and healthcare vendor.
• Vendor management experience.
• Willingness to travel up to ~25% of the time.
• Experience with dental, vision, and prescription drug plans.
• Strong communication and cross-department collaboration.
• Experience analyzing data to derive insights.
• Ability to manage escalations and multiple projects.
• Familiarity with Generative AI tools to streamline workflows.

Responsibilities

• Elevate the employee experience and optimize health programs.
• Resolve complex benefit escalations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Drive innovative wellness solutions for the workforce.
• Oversee day-to-day vendor operations with contractual and financial oversight.
• Monitor vendor reporting and use data analytics to evaluate plan outcomes.
• Review SPDs/SBCs and ensure HIPAA compliance with partners.
• Manage annual Health Plan renewal processes and year-over-year changes.
• Assist with mergers, RFP vendor evaluations, and enrollment system testing.
