Job summary

AW Health Care in St. Louis, MO, seeks a Benefits and Payroll Specialist to manage day-to-day benefit programs and payroll coordination. You will serve as a primary contact for employees, leadership, vendors, and carriers, ensuring accurate eligibility, enrollment, changes, and issue resolution.

You will work with Human Resources, Payroll, Finance and external partners to maintain records, support open enrollment, and ensure timely benefit processing in accordance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years payroll/benefits/Human Resources experience preferred.
• Experience with Paylocity or another payroll/HRIS system preferred.
• QuickBooks experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Administer day-to-day employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, voluntary benefits and other company-sponsored programs, including the 401K and PTO and Leaves of Absence.
• Manage employee benefit eligibility, enrollments, changes, qualifying life events, and terminations and coordinates with Paylocity COBRA Administration.
• Coordinate annual open enrollment activities, including communications, employee education, enrollment system configuration, and reconciliation.
• Review benefit elections and eligibility data for accuracy.
• Maintain accurate employee benefit records within Paylocity and coordinates changes with benefit provider(s).
• Ensure benefit-related transactions are processed in a timely manner and that information is accurately communicated to payroll and applicable vendors.
