Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR) seeks a Benefits Manager to oversee the administration of employee benefits and supervise the benefits team. You will guide employees on benefits matters and ensure programs are administered accurately, including enrollment, eligibility, and retirement-related processes.

You will coordinate PEBA Insurance Benefits, retirement and deferred compensation programs, and assist employees with eligibility, service credits, and program changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in insurance or retirement programs.
• Knowledge of South Carolina state employee benefits program.
• Experience administering employee benefits programs, including insurance and retirement benefits.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate PEBA Insurance Benefits enrollment and related leave matters.
• Serve as liaison with PEBA and other state agencies for payroll and reconciliation.
• Coordinate PEBA retirement and deferred compensation programs and assist with eligibility and changes.
• Coordinate benefits for temporary employees under PPACA with eligibility reviews.
• Provide benefits counseling and information on changes and eligibility.
