Job summary

NewMarket Corporation, headquartered in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Benefits Analyst to provide general administration for U.S. employee benefit plans, including health and retirement programs, data management, and vendor coordination.

You will support open enrollment processes, maintain HRIS records, and assist employees with inquiries to align benefits with the total rewards strategy across the U.S. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in benefits are required; UKG HRIS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2+ years of benefits/HR experience.
• Experience with benefit plans and practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administration of retirement, savings plans and medical, dental, vision, life and disability benefits.
• Support annual open enrollment testing, materials distribution and employee questions.
• Maintain benefit records and ensure accurate HRIS data entry.
• Process death and retiree health program claims.
• Coordinate STD/LTD enrollment and billing; liaise with on-site HR reps.
• Lead new hire benefits orientations and verify data entry.
• Provide first-level benefits support to employees and escalate complex issues.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors to verify enrollments and data accuracy.
• Contribute to special HR projects and benefits initiatives.
• Provide support in other HR areas as needed.
