Job summary

Barry University seeks a Director of Benefits/Wellness and Compensation to lead the university's benefits, wellness, retirement, and compensation programs. You will collaborate with the AVP of HR to design policy, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize salary structures across faculty and staff.

The role requires advanced analytical and communication skills, experience with HRIS and Workday, and the ability to manage multiple compensation projects while maintaining internal equity and market

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field required.
• Master's degree in HR management or MBA preferred.
• Certifications in CEBS, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP preferred.
• 5-8 years of compensation and benefits experience required.
• Advanced analytical and communication skills required.
• Advanced written and oral communication skills required.
• Must analyze statistical data for claims, spend analysis for benefit programs.
• Must multitask and manage projects effectively.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS software.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership for benefits, wellness, retirement, leave, and insurance programs.
• Administers faculty/staff compensation and collaborates on offers for internal equity.
• Benchmarks positions using market surveys and oversees salary data analysis.
• Approves compensation actions in HRIS; analyzes wage data and updates salary structures.
• Keeps current on Workday/Microsoft tools and compensation regulations.
• Leads PDQ/job evaluation, salary grading, and reporting for IPEDS.
