Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP is seeking a Business Development and Marketing Coordinator to join the Marketing Department in New York. The role supports assigned practice and/or industry groups with a range of business development projects, learning the service offering, lawyers, and clients, and coordinating cross-office activities.

You will assist in proposals, maintain marketing infrastructure, and help prepare rankings and client materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of two years in business development or marketing
• Strong writing and proofreading skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing new business proposals, capability pitches, and RFP responses
• Maintain and update marketing collateral, experience databases, matter lists, and contact lists for consistency and accuracy
• Support rankings, awards, surveys, league tables, and other recognitions for assigned groups
• Update practice/industry information on the Firm's website and intranet; coordinate external republication as needed
• Help write and edit group descriptions, lawyer bios, and client presentations for BD pursuits
• Conduct research on clients and markets to gather intelligence on industries and needs
• Collaborate with Creative team to produce branded collateral for sponsorships, events, ads, and presentations
• Plan client programs and Sidley-sponsored events with regional BD/Marketing teams
• Handle other related BD/marketing tasks as assigned
