Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP seeks a Senior Business Development Manager to serve as a trusted advisor to Practice Groups, Industry Teams, and firm leadership. You will create and lead BD strategies that accelerate revenue growth for corporate, M&A, and private equity practices, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution.

You will partner with attorneys and leadership to uncover growth opportunities, analyze market and client data, and report on KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, communications or related area.
• Minimum of 8 years in a B2B professional services setting developing and executing business development strategies, including 3 years of management.
• Sophisticated understanding of corporate and transactional legal services and translating that into growth strategies.
• Proficiency with CRM, pipeline tracking, experience databases, marketing technology, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong strategic thinking, leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel 10-15% across the firm’s footprint.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development strategy for Corporate, M&A, Private Equity and other transactional practices.
• Partner with attorneys and leadership to identify growth opportunities and strategic priorities.
• Analyze firm, client, market, and competitive data to identify growth opportunities and inform strategy.
• Develop and execute business development plans, client initiatives, and market-facing programs.
• Lead client development efforts including growth strategies and cross-selling initiatives.
• Oversee proposals, pitches, presentations, and other BD pursuits from strategy to execution.
• Direct BD resources, budgets, and performance metrics for initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support practice growth and firm objectives.
• Monitor industry and market trends and provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Contribute to department leadership and BD best practices.
• Foster an engaging, inclusive culture and provide coaching to direct reports.
