Job summary

SES Space & Defense seeks a strategic Business Development Manager to lead engagement with AFRICOM and EUCOM, establish trusted relationships with senior government and military leaders, and identify opportunities for space-enabled capabilities. You will drive capture activities, shape requirements, and coordinate with partners to win national security contracts.

The role requires a strong BD background in defense or government technology, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and experience in defense or government technology BD.
Proven success developing and winning opportunities with DoW, Combatant Commands, NATO, or allies.
Strong understanding of U.S. government acquisition processes and funding mechanisms.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

Lead or support capture efforts from early identification through award.
Develop account strategies and maintain a qualified pipeline for AFRICOM and EUCOM.
Engage senior government and military stakeholders to translate missions into SES capabilities.
Collaborate across engineering, contracts, pricing, and legal to craft competitive solutions.
Represent SES at industry events, briefings, demonstrations, and executive engagements.
Mentor junior staff and drive cross-functional teamwork to meet growth goals.
