Job summary
Fortune Electrical Construction is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to expand into the commercial electrical market. You will identify opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and grow client relationships with general contractors, developers, architects, engineers, and facilities teams.
The role emphasizes developing and executing growth plans, managing CRM and pipelines, and representing the company at industry events.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of business development or sales experience within commercial construction or electrical contracting.
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical construction processes.
- Existing relationships within the commercial construction industry preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and close new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
- Willingness to travel throughout the service area.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic BD plan to increase revenue and market share.
- Identify and pursue new commercial electrical construction opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractors and developers.
- Engage architects, engineers, property owners, and public agencies.
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences.
- Monitor bidding opportunities aligned with company goals.
- Collaborate with estimating and operations during preconstruction.
- Assist with proposal development and client interviews.
- Develop long-term customer relationships generating repeat business.
- Research emerging markets and new growth opportunities.
- Maintain CRM records, sales pipeline, and forecasting.
- Represent Fortune Electrical Construction professionally in the community.
