Roth&Co, a leading accounting and advisory firm, seeks a Business Development Executive to accelerate growth through relationship-based development. The role targets finance leaders in mid-market companies and focuses on strategic opportunities rather than high-volume sales.

You will originate opportunities, qualify client needs, and collaborate with firm leadership to convert relationships into long-term engagements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in business development at accounting or professional services.
• Proven client relationship development through networks, not just cold outreach.
• Experience understanding accounting firm services and client decision dynamics.
• Experience supporting consultative sales processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-directed, organized, able to work with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Leverage your existing network of senior executives, founders, CEOs, CFOs, and finance leaders to generate qualified opportunities
• Expand your network by spending time in the market at conferences, networking events, and collaborating with referral sources
• Develop trusted relationships with Roth&Co partners and practice leaders to identify and nurture strategic targets, and support them throughout the sales cycle
• Maintain disciplined follow‑up and pipeline tracking in CRM aligned to agreed upon pipeline and sales goals
• Build a strong working understanding of Roth&Co’s audit, tax, and advisory service
• Understand ideal client profiles within each industry practice and specialty service at the firm
• Assist in pricing discussions, negotiations, and closing new client engagements
