Job summary

Porton is seeking a senior Business Development professional in the US West Coast region. The role focuses on winning new customers, understanding pipelines, and driving opportunities from early to late stages in the CDMO/CRO space.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of BD experience in small molecule API and a strong grasp of CMC processes. A PhD or related advanced degree is preferred and prior R&D communication is valued.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of BD in small molecule API CDMO/CRO with customer access success.
• Strong understanding of CMC from Discovery through Commercial stages.
• Experience communicating with R&D and CMC teams is highly preferred.
• Experience with Biotech/Biopharma customers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Access and win new customers and projects in biotech/CDMO domains.
• Understand customer pipelines, stages, and procurement strategies early.
• Drive early and late stage business opportunities with Porton.
• Translate customer pain points into BD strategies and long-term partnerships.
