Job summary

Military, Veterans and Diverse Job Seekers seeks a Business Development Manager/Director in San Diego to identify and pursue new opportunities, engage prospective clients, and promote services aligned with client objectives.

You will collaborate with R&D, project management, and CRO/CDMO partners to expand offerings, negotiate proposals, and maintain CRM data while traveling up to 50% domestically.

Qualifications

• PhD/MS/BS in chemistry/chemical engineering/pharmaceutical science or related.
• Experience in solid-state research, crystallization development, CMC, or formulation development; CRO/CDMO experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically with occasional international trips.

Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and develop future business development opportunities.
• Arrange meetings with prospective clients and promote services aligned with client objectives.
• Develop proposals and secure new business with technical team support.
• Update pricing and proposal structures for new services expansion.
• Monitor BD proposals and review with Head of US BD regularly.
• Maintain CRM data accuracy and track opportunity status.
