Job summary

Cooley LLP is seeking a Business Development Driver Manager to join the Marketing and Client Development team in Boston. The role focuses on strategic BD support, campaign execution, and pipeline discipline to turn priorities into action.

Responsibilities include overseeing briefing materials, cross-functional coordination with Marketing and BD leaders, and coaching direct reports. The position requires leadership, strategic thinking, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in marketing or business development.
• Demonstrated BD skills including pipeline management and campaign execution.
• Strong working knowledge of enterprise CRM ecosystems (e.g., Salesforce).
• Proficiency with MS Office and iManage; ability to learn firm applications.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen BD ground game by implementing structured meeting prep, opportunity development, and pipeline management.
• Oversee development of high-impact briefing materials and strategies for client meetings.
• Partner with Marketing to manage lead flow and convert engagement into qualified opportunities.
• Coordinate with Marketing, BD leaders, and Partners to ensure smooth handoffs and cross-functional alignment.
• Set best practices for translating discussions into actionable plans and maintain pipeline discipline.
• Report activity and opportunities to senior leadership and maintain pipeline integrity.
