Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services in Plano, TX is seeking a detail-oriented Bankruptcy Ledger Specialist to complete and monitor ledgers throughout the bankruptcy process for residential mortgage loans.

You will verify payment histories, remediate discrepancies, respond to attorneys, research data, prepare filings, and train teammates, with a strong focus on accuracy, deadlines, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of bankruptcy experience in banking, finance, or mortgage.
• Two years' experience balancing ledgers.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; high school diploma or equivalent also acceptable.
• Strong math skills for manual calculations.

Responsibilities

• Execute ledgers with high accuracy for bankruptcy processes.
• Verify borrower payment history and resolve posting discrepancies.
• Respond to inquiries from bankruptcy attorneys and other parties.
• Research and remediate files using FISERV/Sagent data.
• Audit and complete setup of bankruptcy filings and notices.
• Train department staff on bankruptcy processes.
