Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage ledgers through the bankruptcy process for residential mortgage loans, ensuring accuracy and adherence to investor timelines and company policies.

The role involves reconciling payments, handling bankruptcy filings, and supporting claim activities while coordinating with bankruptcy attorneys and internal teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong math skills to perform manual calculations (Motions for Relief, Proof of Claim).
• Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Experience balancing ledgers; accounting background helpful.

Responsibilities

• Executes and completes ledgers for all bankruptcy processes with high accuracy.
• Verifies borrower payment history and resolves posting discrepancies.
• Handles bankruptcy documents and related filings (e.g., Proof of Claims, Notices).
• Audits and sets up bankruptcy filings, motions, claims transfers, reaffirmations, and closings.
• Researches servicer data and prior servicer data within Acquisition folders.
• Provides root cause analysis and coordinates with management on BK projects and IT support.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
