Job summary

McCarthy Holthus seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to provide legal oversight and strategic direction for its banking litigation matters. The role requires significant litigation experience, a background in banking/finance law, and strong compliance judgment to manage cases from inception through resolution.

You will oversee a diverse caseload, ensure compliance with applicable laws, monitor regulatory changes, and advise operational staff on litigation issues. A TX bar license and J.D.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas license in good standing to practice law.
• Admission to practice before all four Texas federal district courts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal oversight and strategic direction for the firm’s litigation matters.
• Manage a diverse caseload of banking litigation matters.
• Ensure strict compliance with state, federal, and regulatory laws.
• Monitor regulatory changes and recommend process modifications.
• Provide legal guidance to operational staff on litigation-related issues.
• Review and approve procedural changes for legal soundness.
• May perform other duties to support department goals.
• May occasionally work extended hours as needed.
