Job summary

BCL Legal seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to oversee the firm’s litigation practice in Plano, TX. The role requires substantial banking/finance litigation experience, strong compliance judgment, and the ability to manage cases from inception to resolution.

The position offers competitive compensation, bonuses, PTO, and a comprehensive benefits package. On-site 2-3 days/week post-training with standard business hours 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the State of Texas in good standing.
• Admission to practice before all four Texas federal district courts preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of active litigation experience.
• Proven expertise in contested default and banking/mortgage servicing litigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal oversight and strategic direction for the firm's litigation matters.
• Manage a diverse caseload of banking litigation matters.
• Ensure strict compliance with state, federal, and regulatory laws.
• Handle specialized cases (e.g., judicial foreclosure, probate, title curative matters).
• Monitor regulatory changes and recommend process modifications.
• Provide legal guidance to operational staff on litigation-related issues.
• Review and approve procedural changes for legal soundness.
