Smithfield Foods is seeking a Strategic Automation Project Manager to lead automation, controls, and equipment modernization across multiple facilities. You will drive a multi-year automation roadmap and partner with Engineering, Operations, IT, OEMs, and integrators to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

The role requires an engineering mindset, hands-on experience with automation technologies, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams from concept through commissioning.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, automation, controls or industrial engineering and 8+ years of experience.
• 2+ years of demonstrated team management or project leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, instrumentation and industrial networks.

Mansioni

• Develop and execute automation strategy for facility expansion and modernization.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, IT, OEMs and system integrators.
• Lead projects from concept to commissioning with budgets and schedules.
• Oversee controls architecture, electrical, instrumentation and networking design.
• Coordinate vendor/contractor management and capital planning.
