Job summary

CLA is seeking an Audit Director/Audit Manager to join our State and Local Government (SLG) practice in the Midwest. You will lead engagements, manage client relationships, and guide teams through governmental audits to deliver high-quality results.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, at least 6 years in a large firm, experience leading teams on governmental audits, and a CPA license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm.
• Experience leading teams of high performing people and managing governmental audits and single audits.
• CPA license certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with great clients.
• Assist clients in obtaining necessary funding to continue to positively impact their community.
• Assist clients with meeting their audit and financial planning objectives by using a range of tools.
• Be creative with staff development, mentoring, and overseeing client engagement teams.
• Lead the engagement progress by monitoring time budgets and deadlines for adherence.
