Job summary

CLA is currently seeking an Audit Director/Audit Manager to join our State and Local Government practice in our Northeast Offices. Our SLG group serves numerous government agencies and partners with clients to deliver high‑quality audits and advisory services.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, a minimum of 6 years in a large firm, CPA certification, and proven experience leading audit teams and government/single audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm driving strategic management.
• Experience leading teams and managing governmental audits; Single audits preferred.
• CPA license certification required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with clients.
• Assist clients in obtaining funding to positively impact their community.
• Assist clients with meeting audit and financial planning objectives using a range of tools.
• Mentor staff and oversee client engagement teams.
• Lead engagement progress by monitoring time budgets and deadlines and communicating to the engagement principal.
