CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking an Audit Director/Audit Manager to join our State and Local Government (SLG) practice in the Midwest. The role focuses on leading governmental audits, mentoring staff, and delivering high-quality services to diverse public sector clients.

The ideal candidate has a CPA, a bachelor's in accounting/finance, and at least 6 years in a large firm, with strong leadership and client-relations skills to drive engagement success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm.
• Experience leading teams and managing governmental audits and single audits preferred.
• CPA license certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with great clients.
• Assist clients in obtaining necessary funding to continue to positively impact their community.
• Assist clients with meeting their audit and financial planning objectives by using a range of tools.
• Be creative with staff development, mentoring, and overseeing client engagement teams.
• Lead the engagement progress by monitoring time budgets and deadlines for adherence. Communicate important developments to the engagement principal along with facts, conclusions, and recommendations.
