Job summary

Davis+Gilbert LLP is seeking an Attorney Recruiting + Development Specialist in New York to lead full-cycle recruitment for lateral associates, partners, and temporary attorneys. You will work closely with the Chief Talent + Culture Officer and the Development Assistant to ensure a seamless candidate experience and align with the firm's long-term talent objectives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of attorney recruiting experience within a top-tier law firm environment.
• Ability to manage full-cycle recruiting processes with increasing independence.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop and finalize search descriptions for lateral searches including associates, partners, and temporary attorneys.
• Coordinate searches internally and with recruiting agencies, and set up search infrastructure (G-Drive, intake forms, viRecruit).
• Participate in recruiting strategy, pipeline development, and discussions with leadership and agencies.
• Review resumes, evaluate qualifications, and assess alignment with hiring needs.
• Prepare candidate presentations and materials for partners.
• Serve as primary point of contact for candidates, agencies, and partners.
• Manage active candidate pipelines and maintain recruiting data and reporting.
• Conduct first-round interviews and participate in candidate evaluations.
• Oversee interview scheduling and logistics, provide guidance to staff on scheduling changes.
• Advise on interview feedback, hiring recommendations, and offer next steps.
• Collaborate on compensation recommendations and offer terms with leadership.
• Draft and distribute Executive Committee memoranda in support of hiring decisions.
• Extend offers, draft letters, and coordinate offer packages and benefits materials.
• Oversee conflicts and background checks with GC and HR.
• Coordinate onboarding and first-day logistics for new hires.
• Facilitate attorney integration and orientation and maintain check-ins.
• Close searches by updating records, archiving, and updating agencies.
