Job summary

Aggreko in Stamford, CT seeks an Associate General Counsel for the IPP Division to provide strategic legal support across North American IPP operations, partnering with leadership to mitigate risk and maximize commercial value.

You will draft and negotiate PPAs, EPCs, NDAs, land leases, MOUs, and tender documents, advise on project financing and tax equity, and guide governance, compliance, and outside counsel management.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited US law school and admitted to the bar in at least one US state.
• 6–10 years of complex commercial law firm or in-house experience focused on microgrid and data center development, bridge power, hyperscaler power and temperature control needs, plus regulatory experience across development, construction and operating phases.
• Experience with project financing, including back-levered financing and tax equity financing structures.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal support to the IPP division and leadership.
• Draft and review PPAs, EPCs, O&M, GTSAs, NDAs, land leases, LOIs, MOUs, tender documents, performance guarantees and vendor agreements.
• Advise on project financing, tax equity structures, SPV arrangements and entity formation.
• Manage outside counsel, budgets and relationships.
• Ensure governance, ethics, anti-bribery compliance and intermediary engagement guidelines are followed.
