Job summary

Aggreko plc is seeking an Associate General Counsel for the Aggreko IPP Division based in Stamford, CT. You will provide strategic legal support across North American IPP operations, partner with commercial, finance, and operations teams, and ensure contract strength, compliance, and business alignment.

You will oversee negotiations, governance, and outside counsel, while shaping risk management and value for money in project financing and regulatory matters.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited US law school and bar admission in at least one US state.
• 6–10 years of complex commercial law firm or in-house experience.
• Experience with microgrid, data center development, bridge power, hyperscaler power and regulatory matters.
• Project financing experience, including back-levered financing and tax equity structures.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal support to Aggreko IPP Division leadership.
• Draft and review PPAs, EPCs, O&Ms, GTSAs, NDAs, land leases, LOIs, MOUs, tenders and vendor agreements.
• Manage outside counsel engagements and budgets; establish IPP legal function budgets.
• Monitor changes in legislation/regulatory environments affecting the business and advise accordingly.
• Provide training on relevant legal developments to IPP colleagues.
