Job summary

Galderma in the United States is seeking an Associate Director, US Accounting & Reporting to lead financial reporting across IFRS and GAM for US entities. You will manage a team, partner with US Finance leaders, and drive close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

You will oversee revenue recognition, balance sheet reconciliations, and analytics while leading process improvements and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic pharmaceutical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Masters preferred).
• CPA or CA required.
• Minimum 8 years progressive accounting experience, with a strong preference for candidates with Big 4, pharmaceutical, or life sciences background.
• Deep technical accounting and financial reporting expertise, with demonstrated ability to research, interpret, and apply complex technical guidance. IFRS expertise is a plus.
• Strong ERP system knowledge (Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with a track record of delivering high-quality outcomes under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Ability to lead change, drive process improvement initiatives, and propose creative solutions to complex financial and operational issues.
• Experience with Global Business Services (GBS) or Shared Services operating models is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes in compliance with IFRS and GAM.
• Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting for US entities, including documentation supporting month end close and reconciliations.
• Serve as revenue recognition technical accounting lead and Alastin accounting lead for the US Accounting team.
• Coordinate with business unit finance partners to document key estimates and judgments per IFRS.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase team efficiency, including automation.
• Contribute to monthly Analytical Review and Balance Sheet movements.
• Lead and mentor a team of 4 direct reports and collaborate across functions.
